Despite this though if were being honest with ourselves this album is an easy 8/10 without the Beavis and Butthead skits. This album is far from a master piece and the beavis and butthead skits really hurt them album and some of the cuts such as Séance Chaos are objectively unlistenable. With Speedin Bullet 2 Heaven on the shelves, the man named Cudi who once seemed destined to be the future of hip-hop for many people has continued a brave and lonely path of remaining the biggest. It sounds like a mental breakdown and a cry for help and as someone who has dealt with some very painful emotions throughout the course of my life it's one of my go-to listens when I feel like I'm spiraling.
I think honestly it rivals MOTM II in edge and grittiness which is particularly notable considering thats what makes MOTM II Scott's best/one of the best albums in his discography. I love how raw, vulnerable and cohesive Scott is. Songs such as Confused, Man In The Night, Adventures, Fuchsia Butterfly, the self-titled Speedin' Bullet 2 Heaven and ESPECIALLY Handle with Care are all great songs and are some of the best in Cudi's discography. I truly don't understand why so many people dislike Speedin' Bullet 2 Heaven and honestly I can say with confidence that it's one of my favorite albums of all time.
